Did any of you hear that Clifford the Big Red Dog was to be at the fairgrounds on Saturday?!?!?!

This was the first ride of the day chosen by JOC.



This was JOC after the ride..."just a little dizzy"...ya think? I can't hardly even watch a ride like this without getting nauseous. I am amazed that folks would pay for the experience!

he became very concerned because he
could not find the keys. Once the ride started he was
fine.

Small Town Features....small town fair....

Our day began with our traditional Saturday morning Daddy 's omelets. We had a little down time then headed out to get to the parade. Our first stop was to our local boiled peanut man. He makes great boiled peanuts. Parade day is not complete without those boiled peanuts.......

Our favorite place at the parade is toward the end. That way, our Saturday morning is not nearly as rushed. We like it that way. This was MLC's first memorable parade. Last year MLC and I did not make it to the fair or parade...we were in Seattle. That being said, he was in awe of all the sights and sounds that make the parade memorable and special.

Once again it may not be the breath taking foliage some of you all are blessed to enjoy, but it some of the scenes that characterize our fall!

It is not the foliage of the mountains that characterizes the fall landscape here in our side of the creation. It would be other beauties unique to this little corner of God's handiwork.........

Dad had the day off!

We met friends at Callaway Gardens for a fabulous, fall day. We enjoyed a picnic, toured a garden, saw tractors and more tractors and rode bikes. What a pleasure it is for the boys to ride to their hearts content! Absolutely a lovely day!

My beloved Lisa friend is most certainly one of the sweetest people in this world. We love her dearly!

Pumpkin Makin Time of Year

While I was rather occupied at a nearby pumpkin farm on a first grade field trip with my JOC, my friends embarked on a weekend project and offered to include me in the goods!!!! For a little more that $15 per family, we/they yielded 15 pumpkins! I would have loved to be involved from beginning to end, but the time I was able to be with them it was fun!This is the phase of the project when I arrived on Saturday.

My three sons, Sharla's three sons and Diane's three daughters all playing outdoors on Saturday afternoon beckoned other children in the neighborhood to come over as well. There was a full lawn of kiddos, doing what they love......The boys often bemoan living on Main Street, now that they have through Sharla, experienced neighborhood/subdivision living/playing. They also get in on it during our weekly Saturday walk in her 'hood!

Certainly, a wonderful way to spend a beautiful, fall, Saturday.Our whole pumpkin patch!Here is the happy trio that came to live on Main Street!!! I got to do all the detailing on mine! Sharpies are great!
